Persik Kediri Stun Bali United as Macan Putih End Winless Run
Persik Kediri finally found their bite as they edged past Bali United 3–2 in an entertaining BRI Super League clash at Stadion Brawijaya on Friday afternoon (30 January 2026 WIB).
The visitors struck first through Boris Kopitović, who punished Persik with a clinical finish in the 23rd minute. But the goal proved to be a wake-up call rather than a setback for the hosts. Roared on by the home crowd, the Macan Putih responded with urgency and intent.
Just six minutes later, Jose Enrique Rodríguez brought Persik level before completing his brace in the 40th minute, turning the match on its head. The comeback was capped off deep into first-half stoppage time when Adrián Luna made it 3–1, giving Persik a commanding lead heading into the break.
Bali United, known as the Serdadu Tridatu, attempted to rally in the second half. Defender João Ferrari pulled one back in the 69th minute, reigniting hopes of a dramatic comeback. However, despite sustained pressure, the visitors were unable to find an equaliser, and Persik held firm until the final whistle.
The result lifts Persik Kediri to 11th place in the standings with 22 points and ends a four-match winless streak. Bali United remain eighth on the table, six points ahead of Persik, but will be disappointed to leave Kediri empty-handed.
Looking ahead, Persik are set to face Dewa United on Saturday (7 February 2026), while Bali United will prepare for a tough encounter against Persebaya Surabaya on the same day.
